Remind Me

Ok, this is sort of out of scope for my blog, but I couldn't resist. The music video called "Remind Me", by Röyksopp, is the coolest thing that I've seen in a long time. I don't know why, but I've always had this strange attraction to inforgraphics (which is part of why I like Disgaea so much) -- the clean, elegant lines, the crisp gradients, the isometric projection, the little yet expressive icons... Mmm. Now, we've got a whole music video which is a continuous, animated infographic, that exposes the incredible complexity which powers our seemingly mundane daily routine -- in a clear-cut, animated, howstuffworks kind of way -- while managing to tell a bit of a story, too. The instantly addictive eurotrance soundtrack is just icing on the cake (I am not too wild about the DSP-ed vocals, but oh well). Whoever made that video is a genius of graphic design. Unfortunately, the page I linked to only has low-quality WMV/Real streams; hopefully, there's a higher-quality version of it somewhere.
