An asset gained and held only by tenuous agreements with other players (many of them unspoken). Losing this asset triggers a homocidal rage in which the former owner doggedly hammers at the offending player until he is dead, then quits the game. Named for an instance in the board game Machiavelli, where this argument ensued over the Italian province of Naples. F.ex.
"Why did you just do that?!" "Naples was mine
!"
